Support for Families of Children with Neurodev. Disorders during COVID-19

The Indian Health Service will present a webinar on “developing providers’ skills in supporting parents/families of children with neurodevelopmental disorders in the areas of education. Providers will be able to teach families strategies to support their children in the new learning environment. Additionally, providers will be able to inform families of their rights for educational supports during the COVID-19 crisis. Teaching tools will include resource page, quick facts for providers, and handouts for families.

The following learning objectives will be taught:
1. Educate families to integrate effective learning/education strategies for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
2. Assist families in modifying learning strategies to support children’s learning in the online environment.
3. Inform families of children with a neurodevelopmental disorder about educational rights.

The webinar will be presented by Dina Hill, PhD; Marybeth Graham,PhD, and Michele Iemolo PsyD.
